ITINERARY

DAY 1 – ARRIVAL IN FRIULI

Upon your arrival in Friuli, check in at your accommodation and get ready for your afternoon walking tour of Udine, the elegant Venetian-style town in the center of the Friulian plains. Transfers to your accommodation can be arranged from your arrival point.

DAY 2 – CHEESE & PROSCIUTTO TOUR

After breakfast meet your driver-guide for a full-day excursion to the hilltowns of Friuli, visiting a medieval village and enjoying the flavors of the two most known food specialties of the region: the Montasio cheese and the Prosciutto of San Daniele. Visit an artisanal dairy and learn the secrets of how milk delivered directly from the farm can turn into a wheel of Montasio cheese in less than 24 hours. Afterwards enjoy a tasting session of this delicious Friulian product. Your next stop will be San Daniele del Friuli, famous all over the world for its exquisite prosciutto. Tour a boutique prosciutto factory and see the transformation of the fresh pig haunch into San Daniele ham. A prosciutto tasting will follow to fully enjoy this delicious product, whose incomparable taste makes it the most delicate in all of Italy. After the tour you will return to your accommodation for the evening.

DAY 3 – OLIVE OIL & WINE TOUR

Today’s excursion will lead you through wonderful landscapes and spectacular vineyards. Your first stop will be a mill surrounded by olive groves and rolling hills and you will learn how olive oil is produced with love and care. An informative olive oil tasting will follow. You’ll then proceed to a boutique winery in the Colli Orientali del Friuli. You’ll visit the estate, its cellars and finally taste its excellent wines. You’ll also savor a light lunch based on the gastronomic specialties of Friuli before enjoying a leisurely walk in the picturesque town of Cividale, Unesco World Heritage site and the first Lombard duchy in Italy. After the tour you will return to your accommodation for the evening.

DAY 4 – CRAFT BEER & BALSAMIC VINEGAR TOUR

This morning depart with your private driver-guide for a unique excursion combining a tour of a local artisanal brewery with a visit to a balsamic vinegar producer. Meet the passionate brewmasters, learn the intricacies of making excellent craft beers and sample some of the finest varieties. Enjoy a light lunch in a charming agriturismo of the area before stopping at a famous balsamic vinegar producer where you will learn about the long and patient process of creating a delicious aromatic vinegar. A tasting of this delicious, sweet, tangy product will draw our tour to a close after a delicious day out! After the tour you will return to your accommodation for the evening.

DAY 5 – COOKING CLASS & DEPARTURE

Today an authentic Friulian cooking class has been organized for you in the private home of your cooking instructor. Always using the season’s freshest ingredients, you will learn how to prepare a typical Friulian menu, followed by lunch of your creations and tasting of excellent local wines. A fun and memorable experience in culinary art! After lunch, transfer back to your hotel and depart for your onward travel.

Step 1. First of all contact us and check for availability
Step 2. Once availability is confirmed, you will receive a booking form to fill in and return to us together with the deposit or credit card details in order to reserve the tour.

Step 3. We require a deposit of 25% of the tour price at the time of booking. The balance is due no later than 30 days before tour departure.    Payment can be made via bank transfer or credit card.

Step 4, Vouchers and full trip information will be sent to you via email.
Cancellation fees:

- 10% of the full amount from the date of confirmation up to 30 days before tour departure

- 30% of the full amount from 29 to 20 days before tour departure

- 50% of the full amount from 19 to 10 days before tour departure

- 80% of the full amount from 09 to 04 days before tour departure

- 100% of the full amount from 03 days to date of tour departure

A 100% cancellation fee also applies:

- in case of no/show at departure

- if cancellation occurs after the tour has started (unused services will not be refunded)

- if the consumer lacks the necessary travel documents (i.e. a proper and valid ID/passport/VISA/medical certificates or any other necessary document) to enter Italy and/or the countries included in the tour package. A participant that, for his negligence, forgets his travel documents and is rejected by Customs, will be considered as renouncing to the travel package and will be subject to the regulations of these booking conditions.
